Miniature Shaker Red Cabinet/Counter #02circa 1830
3 3/4 wide x 2" deep x 3" high
Just a simple counter but this little beauty represents all that is wonderful about Shaker furniture. The overall balance, descending proportion of drawer height, perfection of fit and overall craftsmanship are classic. It is finished with the exact same attention to detail, even down to the perfectly matched dark red paint and missing molding at the bottom. You can delight just in the sound of the drawers and door closing. The original was made in Mt. Lebanon, NY and is in a private collection |
